July 2008 marked a very special occasion for us - our 15th Anniversary. 

     We began our mission as Thailand’s first credit rating agency in July 1993 under the name Thai Rating and Information Services Co., Ltd.  Since the very beginning, we have always been known by our acronym - TRIS.   Our business boomed during the first two years, before Thailand’s economy began to face troubles and well before the nation sank into the worst-ever financial crisis in 1997.  During this difficult time, we lost almost all of our rating clients and the future looked grim.

     Luckily, we had grasped a different business opportunity just before the crisis.  Utilizing our analytical skills, we were commissioned by the Ministry of Finance to make performance evaluations of state-owned enterprises.  The quality of our work excelled and our business expanded, growing to cover performance evaluations of government ministries and other state agencies.

     To mark the 15th anniversary , TRIS Rating’s logo has been changed to reflect modernity and liveliness. At the same time, our parent company, Thai Rating and Information Services Co., Ltd. or TRIS, has just changed its name to the name by which we have always been known to TRIS Corporation Limited, effective from 22 August 2008.

     Let me assure you, however, that the new logo still comes with the same great quality of service.  Our staff at TRIS Rating Co., Ltd. is the same team of professionals who are inspired by the spirit of TRUST: Teamwork, Reliability, Unbiasedness, Society and Thai values. 

     With these driving forces, we are confident that we will continue to offer you our top-quality services.  Just call on us and you will realize what we mean.
